The sweet wines of the Pyrenean foothills come from the same production area as Madiran, facing the mountains to the South. Pacherenc du Vic Bilh wines are late-harvest Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu grapes, where the sugars are concentrated from being left to dry on the vine. This wine is a beautiful golden colour with fruity aromas such as pineapple, candied fruits, yellow peaches, pears and lemon. The palate has a silky mouthfeel with oppulent ripe fruits complemented by a fresh acidity which stops the sweetness from being cloying.
