Les Héritiers Saint-Genys is a significant producer of white Mercurey with half of this 7.5 hectare single walled vineyard planted with Chardonnay. Fruit from 50 year old vines farmed using reasoned agriculture is harvested manually and carefully placed into small, well-ventilated boxes for careful transportation to the winery. Fermentation is in oak barrels in a classic vinification style followed by aging in oak.
Tasting notes
A savoury, toasty nose with a rich yet refined palate and gently creamy oak. The style is full and complex with a fine linear structure and long finish.
